Hei, olen Eero Urmas,

Olen Turkulainen graafinensuunnittelija ja katuvalokuvaaja. Esikuvinani ja innostajina ovat toimineet mm. Henri Cartier-Bresson ja Tony Ray-Jones. Musta-valko kuvaus ilmaisee parhaiten näkemystäni. Rakkauteni mustavalko kuvaukseen juontaa osittain lapsuudestamme. Äitini otti erinomaisia kuvia yksinkertaisella “cokis”-kameralla. Agfa Iso-Rapid IF-kamera oli myös minun ensimmäinen kamerani. Nykyään otan kuvia Fujifilm X 100S -digikameralla, kiinteällä laajaobjektiivilla.

Kuvaamisen lisäksi teen metalligarafiikkaa ja kuvituksia. Toivon, että nautit kuvistani ja haluat ostaa laadukkaita julisteita, jotka eivät ole vain hienoja vaan sisältävät myös tarinan elämästä.

Hi, my name is Eero Urmas.

I am Graphic designer and street photographer from the city of Turku, South-West Finland. We have a unique archipelago and I love to sail there with my wife and our dog. Archipelagos fascinating nature lure me to take pictures endlesly. Another fascinating place I love to take pictures are citys round the world. I would say I am a street photographer. My idols are Henri Cartier-Bresson and Tony Ray-Jones.

Paris, Nice, Bordeaux, Venice, Kioto, Tokio, Bangkok are the cities I have succeeded to take photos which I found good enough to release here. Most of the pictures are b/w. That is because my mother took wonderful pictures of our childhood and they were all b/w pictures. When I look the streets in the city through the camera I instinctively see everything in b/w. The feelings and athmosphere and my own visio comes true that way. 

I make also drawnings and illustrations in many different ways. I wish you find my visions tempting. Enjoy and if you want some more information about picture don’t hesitate to send mail.
